We would like to welcome you to Byars-Cobbs Memorial UMC. At Byars­-Cobbs we worship with the understanding that God truly loves us. Romans 5:8 tells us, "….Christ died for us while we were yet sinners." That proves God's love toward us!  How wonderful it is to know that our salvation is not dependent on anything we have done, but upon what Christ has already done for us.  Plan to join us for worship this Sunday!

Martha Clendenen's Birthday Reception

Martha Clendenen will be 90 years old on April 30!  We would like to invite her church family to celebrate with us at her home, 676 Blue Hills Drive, Glade Spring, on Sunday, April 26, 2015.  The birthday reception will begin at 1:00 p.m.  Drop in anytime from 1:00 until 3:00 to wish Martha a happy birthday!

Easter Lillies

Easter lillies were placed in the church on Easter Sunday in memory of the following:  Members of the Nutter Family, given by Rachel Nutter; Wes Carter, given by Jane, Betsy, and Family; Linda Byrd, given by Charles Byrd and Family; Larry Bradley and John and Katie Totten, given by Carol Bradley; Eddie Sheffield, given by Doris, Elizabeth, Rich, Holden, and Sofia; Our Family and Church Friends, given by Tony and Gloria Surber and Family; and in honor of our church family, by Phil and Nancy Topa.

May Fest

We will be having our final May Fest (unless the younger ladies would like to take this project over) on May 2.  Please bring your household items and clothing to the church before May 1.  Please make sure all clothing is in good condition and cleaned; and all appliances are in working order.
